We at claudecoats.com are saddened by the passing of Roy on December 16th.

 

My mother Evelyn, as an inker at Hyperion, knew Roy from his childhood and asked him to speak at Claude's memorial service, this only weeks after Roy had presented Dad with his Disney Legend Award.

 

I have childhood memories of watching Roy as a lanky first baseman on the company softball team, on many summer evenings long ago.

 

Many other thoughts and memories will always remain.

 

The Coats family offers profound sympathy to the family of Roy E. Disney at this sad time.
